CITY GIRL FARMING | Sustainable Living for Regular People

Disclaimer

Disclaimer and Disclosure:

As the editor of  this site, I am a chicken owner (and chicken lover!), a researcher and writer.  I’m not a veterinarian or other animal professional nor a doctor or other medical professional.

Please keep  that in mind.

In writing this blog and website, I have done my best to work with the most reliable chicken, gardening, canning, natural solutions and essential oil resources, available and well as drawing from my own experience, talking to chicken (and other backyard animal) owners and experts, from taking education classes and from reading authoritative literature. What I say may or may not be accurate for  your personal situation. Feel free to read other advice elsewhere, and draw  your own conclusions.

My goal with  this blog as well as with my own mini farming and natural health journey is to help others learn the joys (and gain the benefits) of successfully raising and growing their own food and exploring more healthy, non-toxic solutions for common needs that arise daily. The outcomes you personally obtain, with or without the advice from this site, are out of my control.

Please do your own research and talk to your own trusted medical personnel (doctors and vets, etc.). As you will soon learn (or probably already know), there are many different angles and opinions to many issues and ideas about raising chickens, growing food, using essential oils to support a healthy lifestyle, canning and preserving food, etc. The ones expressed on this site were often gleaned from what’s considered ‘standard practice’ (but not always), personal experience, and/or from the sage advice of people who have spent many more years than me caring for chickens, using essential oils, and their growing food and canning it.

NEVER get off any medication or start using any natural solution for a condition without FIRST talking to your doctor. BE SAFE. HEALTH is the end goal, here. If your doctor isn’t open to exploring natural solutions, find another doctor. They work FOR YOU, after all. Be comfortable with who you’re getting your advice from. But don’t just freewheel it on your own. Seriously!

My primary concern is the health and well being of people and the animals they raise, and to that end, I’ve tried to present the best information possible. I love chickens, gardening, natural health and sustainability! And believe that anyone can have a positive, life changing experience  as they venture into taking control of some of their food sources and natural solutions for their health.

Have fun in this process of learning more about growing and raising your own food, leaving a smaller carbon footprint, and exploring healthier options for yourself and your family. It’s an exciting journey and I’m glad you’re on it!

Happy mini-farming and healthy living to you!

P.S. In case you’re wondering where the funding comes from for this website and blog,  I invest my time, passion and creativity. I also occasionally accept advertising,  if I believe in the product I’m advertising. I also try to cover my costs by including things such as Google Ads and product links to Amazon.com and other affiliates when appropriate. If you follow  those links and make a purchase, I earn a small commission on the sale, but it doesn’t cost you anything (and in some cases you actually save a bit too).

I am also a Wellness Advocate for doTERRA International. This is my job and I therefore get paid based on sales volume of my own personal team.
Please note, additionally, that the opinions I give on any products are always my own and have not been paid for by any company or manufacturer or person. My enthusiasm stems from my own personal experience, or from the experience of  others I trust. My goal, as always, is to help us all to have the most positive, safe and happy experiences and lives possible!
