Why not yours?
Amber Lotus Publishing needs you (well, your city coop and your hens). They’re taking submissions right now to be included in the 2015 City Chickens and Their Coops wall calendar.
Imagine your backyard coop and portraits of your chickens hanging on walls all over the world. Imagine being able to do ALL your holiday shopping on one place (OF COURSE all your friends and relatives will want a calendar with your coop and hens proudly displayed!)
And not only that, the whole experience of a professional photo shoot is something you can talk about for years to come.
Seriously.
I mean, how often do you have a photographer (Susan Seubert) who shoots for National Geographic in your backyard, taking photos of your hens and hen-house? (Not only that, you’ll get a copy of a photo she took. And she’s GOOD. Check out her work if you don’t believe me!)
How often to you get a behind the scenes look at a piece of the creative process involved in producing the right shots for a project like this?
It’s exciting. And informative. And fun.
So what are you waiting for? Go take a few shots of your coop and send them into Amber Lotus. It’s free to enter, so you have no excuse! Tell them I sent you. And PLEASE let us know if your coop is picked. We’d love to hear about it (and, of course, live vicariously through your success and fame!)
Just in case you can’t make out contact information on the above graphic, I’ve added it here, too:
Send 3-6 photos of your coop (500 mb or smaller) to creative@amberlotus.com and if you have any questions or need more information, call: 503-284-6400 x 209
Good luck! Bock!
PS In case you missed it when they came to visit my backyard, you can read about it here.
And it’s not too late to pick up the current edition of this awesome calendar. They’re even half off right now. I have one and love it! You can get yours here.
Disclaimer: No, I’m not receiving anything for this call out on behalf of Amber Lotus. But I did have a great time last year when they came to visit, and I am super excited to see the 2014 calendar with my coop in it (I think they’re rolling out in July or August), and I do think it would be totally awesome if one of you guys got picked for the 2015 calendar. Just sayin’.
