Fat-n-Sassy Chickens

These chubby chickens stopped rummaging for a moment so I could snap a photo. Wasn’t that nice of them? They certainly don’t need any extra treats…yet every day they check the compost bins (aka chicken treat jar) to see what lovely snacks they might find inside.

If you’re new to chickens, here’s a list of things you should never feed them. I take care to make sure those things don’t make it into my compost bins because I don’t want one of them to accidentally eat something they shouldn’t. This is, after all, one of the most popular chicken hang outs during recess!
